Truck Recording Information
& Payload System (TRIPS)

Because ever-changing conditions complicate your ability to optimize truck/shovel productivity, Unit Rig engineers have developed a highly effective solid state weigh system for truck and shovel fleets. The net result provides for maximum truck productivity and assists you with a greatly improved return on capital investment.

WHAT UNIT RIG'S TRIPS PROVIDES

This unique Unit Rig Truck Recording Information Payload System (TRIPS) continually monitors your haul truck's performance parameters and payload. Special high-pressure sensors are installed at all four suspension points. Truck-mounted electronic hardware and software record and store performance and payload information for real-time display and management reporting functions. Unit Rig's proprietary microprocessor programs provide truck payloads with an accuracy of +/-5% or better over a day's worth of haul cycles. Customized connections between displays and the central processing unit provide information to the standard in-cab display and loading lights (amber & red).

Optional exterior numerical displays or radio modems can be added for in-shovel or management vehicle remote display units. Other standard support benefits that help maximize system performances are:

  • Test to calibrate system

  • Detailed maintenance training

  • Basic management reports

Optional advanced, customized data-based management report programming is also available.

  • Unit Rig's TRIPS allows your operation to customize its truck shovel communication link in order to obtain maximum productivity.

  • TRIPS on-board system stores up to l200 loads and related truck-operating data for management's use in maximizing profit.

  • Down-loading the information from TRIPS is done in a matter of a few minutes with a standard laptop computer or it can be sent by a radio link system for central processing, keeping trucks productive.
